Good news for video creators

Exciting YouTube Shorts feature coming soon

TikTok continues to dominate the short-form video market, but YouTube isn’t ready to give up. In an attempt to drive more traffic to YouTube’s Shorts platform, it’s launching a slew of new features. But here’s our favorite: coming late September, a Shorts video will be able to link to a longer video.

This update promises to be incredibly valuable for marketers and long-form content creators alike. Here’s why.

Short videos are where the eyes are, but longer videos garner audience loyalty. This update seeks to help creators stake their claim in both short and long-form content—which, if done right, will grab the attention of a larger population and encourage them to stick around for more.

PS: There’s a New video creation tool from Vimeo.

Vimeo is touting a “one-take video creation” tool that features an AI-powered script generator, teleprompter, and text-based video editor. Vimeo’s new tool seems cool, sure, but we also really like the campaign’s landing page. Hey, we had to point it out. We are marketers, after all.
