A global technology company, Smartabase by Fusion Sport was in desperate need of a website rebuild. Their website did not serve their needs, as it was neither functional nor aesthetically pleasing—it was full of clunky code on the backend and massive header images on the frontend. Not only was the website’s performance incredibly slow, but much of it was hard-coded or overly complex, making it difficult and inefficient for the Fusion Sport team to update the website. Top Fox Marketing stepped in to rebuild the site. It took several months of diligent, detailed work: project planning, design, development, testing, and so many spreadsheets!
The new website would also require a messaging pivot. Smartabase needed an audience-centric site, both in terms of messaging and user experience, to help move people through the buyer’s journey more effectively. Top Fox and Fusion Sport worked to ensure that no matter how a person lands on the Smartabase website, users would quickly understand what Smartabase is, who they help, the specific benefits to them, and how Smartabase is different from competitors. Smartabase’s website needed to answer users’ questions, and intrigue them enough to download one of their assets or request more information.
The website project kicked off with a messaging session and website audit including keyword research. This pre-build work was not only instrumental in deciding that Fusion Sport needed to rebuild their website, but also contributed to the success of the project.
Then, Top Fox built the website using WordPress and Elementor, making the website mobile-responsive and easy-to-edit (two very important features that the Fusion Sport team required). Top Fox and Fusion Sport worked hand-in-hand for several months to build a beautiful, functional website—and the results speak for themselves.
