With such uncertainly in the world, it’s important to help your clients, partners, and community through this difficult time. Communication is key.

Here are some best practices for communications in times of uncertainty:

  • Communicate necessary information – you probably don’t need to update people on your hand-washing policies, but it’s important that your customers know what steps you are taking to protect your employees and customers
  • Stay in your lane – only communicate information within your brand’s area of expertise.
  • Be available – customers are used to immediate communication with brands via social media. Be sure you have social listening and monitoring set up to capture the conversation and be responsive.
  • Be positive – lead by example, communicate what you are doing as a company and share inspiring stories that bring people together.
  • Stay informed – keep up with the latest news so that you can update your communications as necessary.
